The Australian Premiere of ‘Spirit of Flamenco’ will feature American flamenco guitar maestro, Jason McGuire (El Rubio) with some of Adelaide’s greatest flamenco talent.
Spirit of Flamenco promises exquisite passion, blazing artistry and all the power of the irrepressible spirit.
Celebrating the unique fusion of dance, voice, percussion and guitar… That is Flamenco, this rare performance will mark the end of the 2012 Adelaide International Guitar Festival in Adelaide on the 12th of August 2012. Tickets now on sale.
Together with Emmy award-winning choreographer and dancer Yaelisa, Jason McGuire will bring luminaries of the San Francisco-based company ‘Caminos Flamencos’ to Australia for the first time.
Jason McGuire, signed with Bolero Records, teaches flamenco guitar online via http://www.flamenco-lessons.com/. He also runs the flamenco forum – http://flamencodiscussion.com/ and has recently released, what is undoubtably, the worlds best Flamenco Metronome (Doctor Compas™) , available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (created in conjunction with Maissam Barkeshli).
