Postales Restaurante and Tapas Bar is a real Spanish restaurant in the heart of Sydney, Australia. It’s real tapas and the word is that the meals are outstanding, but there has been plenty written about the food at Postales so let’s take a look at their new solution for Saturday night entertainment in a venue that is already well-known for its acclaimed cabaret line-up.
Last weekend was the premier of a new show, a Latin show with a bit of celebrity and flamenco fusion. After a very successful premier, The Con Pasion show will now become a regular event every Saturday night in 2010.
One of the hottest choreographers in Australia and star of ‘Dancing With The Stars’, Carmelo Pizzino has teamed up with leading flamenco performer, Marina Tamayo to create a flamenco Latin dance fusion spectacle.

Marina Tamayo with Camelo Pizzano and Peter Pavlos
Carmelo Pizzino, who was a finalist with channel seven’s Kylie Gillies in the 2009 season of DWTS, is a former world dance champion and wanted to specifically work with Marina Tamayo as she embodied both the character and technical skills to choreograph the show with him.
The Con Pasion show is a dining experience created in two segments – Latin and flamenco – embodying the passionate journey of a tempestuous relationship.
Dancers from Tamayo’s company, Flamenco Del Mar, bring the fiery heart of southern Spain to the flamenco portion of the show and Pizzino along with his partner, Alana Patience, burn the floor with their sexy Latin moves.
Carmelo Pizzino and Alana Patience will again be appearing on the new season of DWTS, Carmelo partnered with Tamara Jaber (singer/songwriter) and Alana partnered with Rob Palmer (Better Homes & Gardens).
Con Pasion can be seen every Saturday night (9:30pm) during 2010 at Postales Restaurante. GPO Sydney, 1 Martin Place – The Westin Hotel.
Dinner and Show is $80 per person and booking are essential.

What a wonderful job Marina Tamayo and Carmelo Pizzino did coming together to combine flamenco and latin styles for a passionate, whirlwind journey of dance. The choreography was hot and the dancers on fire. Well done to everyone involved- the audience left with their heart rates through the roof!
