The Gipsy Kings are in Australia and have concerts during March and April 2010. Performing in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and BluesFest 2010.
The Gipsy Kings (then Los Reyes) started out as buskers on the streets of Cannes and also played at local weddings and parties. There style has always been flamenco with a western pop style and most songs stick to a more palatable four beat and rarely venture into complex flamenco rhythms.
In 1987 the Gipsy Kings released their first and self-titled debut album an introduced ‘rumba Gitano’ to the masses with their hit song ‘Bamboleo’. Since then the band has been constantly touring, recording and occasionally spending precious time with their families in the south of France and are proud to call themselves Gypsies.
The Gipsy Kings latest album is Pasajero » released on March 16th, 2010.

The only problem with their shows, is the venues. Most of them do not allow people to stand up and dance on the isles, especially in Australia I think. It happened with Santana as well. I hope tonight’s show in Melbourne will be something different. I am sure people will not be able to help themselves and the ushers are going to have to just watch! Viva los Reyes! Ole
Yes the Gipsy Kings are coming to Australia but unfortunately you will not see the entire group,due to some conflict within the group or with the management,Canut will not be with them.So enjoy but you will not be seeing the proper Gipsy Kings because without Canut they are not complete
