Laura Uhe is one Australia’s top flamenco dancers. Sought after nationally Laura performs regularly based out of Melbourne.

Laura studied dance from four years of age, switching to flamenco in 1985.
Laura Uhe holds a B.A from the Australian National University and a Dip ED English, ESL and Drama from La Trobe University.
TEACHERS: Laura has studied with Gunta Hamra, Deanna Blacher, Mario Orbitani, Ana Romero, Chari Saldana, Antonio Vargas as well as regular visits to study with the great flamenco teachers in Madrid, Seville, Granada and Cadiz.
HIGHLIGHTS: Her performances highlights include the Melbourne Festival of the Arts, Apollo Bay Festival, Port Fairy Music Festival, Arts Centre Latin Concert Series and the Brunswick Music Festival and the Australian Opera in Bizet’s Carmen both in Melbourne and in Taiwan in 2009.

Laura teaches flamenco dance at The Powerhouse, lake-side in Albert Park, Melbourne (Left Leg Studios). Classes every Tuesday: Beginners 7pm, Open technique & castanets 8pm, and Intermediate 8.30pm.
