International 10 String Spanish Guitarist Matthew Fagan presents a stunning new concert El Vito a Journey through Spain, performing Spanish Guitar of the Classical Masters, Albeniz, Granados, Paco De Lucia, De Falla, Rodrigo and Traditional Flamenco with a visual spectacular of Spanish Gardens, Palaces and cities and dancers.

Inspired by recent travels in Sevilla, Matthew will present a complete Journey of Spain, Tracing the Origins of flamenco in the ancient city of Sevilla, The Jewish sector of Triana and Moorish Palace of Real Alcazar with its stunning gardens and Moorish architecture and the rich history of Sevilla’s birthplace of Columbus.
The great concert music of the Spanish classical masterpieces are reinterpreted exploring the exhilarating flamenco guitar techniques of Paco De Lucia and Paco Pena. Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez is explored through its flamenco origins of “Tarantos” and “Rodena”.
The famous dances from Manuel De Falla ballet “The Three Cornered Hat, El sombrero de tres picos is performed with stunning flamenco fire. Egberto Gismonti piece “Frevo Rasgado” as originally performed by Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin has been reinterpreted for 10 String Guitar with stunning rhythmic drive and stunning orchestration. Sevilla, Asturias and Tango of Isaac Albeniz combined with the traditional flamenco guitar dances of “Sevillianis”, “Granadinas” and “Tangos” that initially inspired Albeniz.
Stunning arrangements of dances and ballads from George Bizet’s Carmen from the original orchestral score and the colourful and rhythmic sounds of South American Classical and Latin masterpieces from composers Villa-Lobos, Lauro, Piazzolla & Gismonti also feature in the concert.
Matthew’s superb technical ability and emotionally fiery execution on 10 string and other guitars captures the spirit and emotion of the music, creates an intimate connection with the audience for an unforgettable show not to be missed.
