The Boite's Suitcase: Earth Music Showcase is an opportunity to hear music from all over the world, recognising the contribution that musicians have been making to our lives for thousands of years and the invaluable heritage they carry with them as they move from one place to another.
These events do not adhere to any particular genre or style. They offer musicians, wherever they are from, an opportunity to be heard in a city that abounds with diversity but has very limited outlets for showcasing it musically.
This month's performers include:
SENES Flamenco, a Melbourne-based flamenco ensemble bringing the essence of live Spanish dance and music performances and dance classes to Australia. It aims to promote cross-cultural understanding through the art of flamenco music and dance. Working in conjunction with artists across diverse genres, SENES Flamenco is dedicated to the development of multicultural performing arts and arts education and shares their love of flamenco with Australian audiences.
